Iran Power Development Co. is to construct a 315
MW gas turbine power plant at Cha-Bahar.
According to our correspondent, this power plant is part of 6000 MW gas turbine
power plant project of the country which is to be constructed to maintain the
voltage stability at southern Region of Sistan & Bluchestan province and
meet the ever increasing demand for electricity at cha-Bahar region as a
consequence of development of commercial and industrial establishments at that
region.
Cha-Bahar power plant, which is to be constructed at the east of this city off
the road to Iranshahr and beside 230 kv sub-station, two 157.5 MW units
extendable to 4 units with total capacity of 630 MW and changeable into combined
cycle
power plant.
Should the required money become available, then it is anticipated that, the
first unit of this project will become operational in early 2007.
The cost of this project is estimated to be 1300 billion Rials and foreign
currency portion of this project would be 60 Millions Euros.
